Road crash driver dies - A710 Southwick

Police Scotland report that the driver of the car which was involved in the single vehicle road traffic crash on the A710 road near Southwick on 24 January, 2021, died in hospital on Sunday, 31 January, 2021.

He was 20-year-old Jay Burns From Dumfries.

Sergeant Jonny Edgar from Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Jay's  family at this sad time. I would ask that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

“Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information that could assist with our enquiries to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on the 101 number, quoting incident 3354 of 24 January.”
