Man named after incident off coast of Shetland

Police Scotland can confirm the identity of the man who died after an incident on board a fishing vessel off the coast of Shetland on Thursday, 18 February, 2021.

He was Edison Joseph Carrera Lacaste, 45, from the Philippines.

The incident remains under investigation by Police Scotland and the Marine Accident Investigation Branch.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
