Body of woman found on beach near Heads of Ayr formally identified
Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a woman found on the beach near to the Heads of Ayr, Dunure, Ayrshire, on Monday, 1 February, 2021 has now been formally identified and next of kin are aware.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, area commander at South Ayrshire said "I would like to thank the public for their assistance with our earlier appeal in relation to this incident and for sharing our social media post.
"I extend my condolences to the family of the woman involved."
