Assault with intent to rob - Glenshee Street, Glasgow
Police Scotland is appealing for information after two men were assaulted in the Tollcross area of Glasgow on Friday night.
Around 6.20pm on Friday, 12 February, 2021, the two men, aged 17 and 19, were walking along Glenshee Street when they were approached by two men. The men demanded that they hand over their belongings, grabbed a mobile phone and then made off. The 19 year-old man was punched during the incident but did not require medical treatment.
The first suspect is described as white, around 6ft of average build, in his late 30s and had a bald head. He was wearing a blue fleece, blue denims and a blue coloured body warmer.
The second suspect was white, under 6ft, in his late teens and was wearing black coloured clothing and a black face mask.
Detective Constable Mark Milroy, said: “Although nobody required medical treatment, this was a terrifying experience for the two men who were simply walking along the street. Nobody should be made to feel unsafe in their community.
“Shortly afterwards the phone that was taken was handed to a passer-by, who returned it to its owner. However, it does not matter than nothing was taken, this type of crime will not be tolerated and we will do everything we can to trace those responsible.
“There were a number of people in the area at the time, in particular a man who had a dog with him Think back, was this you? Can you assist us in our enquiries? Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police.”
