Appeal following road crash on M9 - Falkirk
Police in Forth Valley are appealing for information following a road crash near Falkirk.
The incident happened around 4.25pm on Tuesday, 16 February, 2021 on the M9 at junction 7, Kinnaird involving a white Honda motorcycle and a white box van.
Emergency services attended the scene and a 48-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 43-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries. Her condition is described as stable.
The road was closed for around 11 hours to allow a full collision investigation to take place.
Sergeant John Lang, of Police Scotland’s Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to other road users who may have witnessed the crash to get in contact with police.
“One woman has sustained serious injuries as a result of this incident and we are keen to establish the full circumstances.
“I would ask if anyone was driving in the area at the time or has possible dashcam footage that could assist with our investigation that they get in touch with officers.
