Appeal after man suffers serious facial injury in Campbell Court assault, Ayr
Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a man was the victim of a serious assault in Ayr.
The incident happened at a property in Campbell Court at around 6.30pm on Monday, 8 February, 2021.
A person attended the property and attacked a 47-year-old man with a bladed weapon who was inside. He suffered a serious facial injury as a result of the assault.
The victim was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service and released following treatment.
Detective Constable Janet Ferguson from Ayr CID said: “The victim has suffered a nasty wound to his face however we know little about the suspect who entered the property.
“They are described as wearing a green jacket however we do not know their gender or any other physical description of them.
“We’d ask anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the Campbell Court area on Monday evening, or anyone with private CCTV which may have captured a person attending the area wearing such clothing, to provide relevant information and footage to officers as soon as possible.”
