Drugs worth £1.4M seized in Ayrshire

Two people have been arrested following a police operation in Ayrshire on Thursday, 9 December, 2021.

Around 8.45pm, officers acting under warrant, entered a property in Nithsdale Road, Ardrossan and recovered a quantity of Class A and Class B drugs. The drugs seized which include, heroin, cocaine and amphetamine, have a potential street value of more that £1.4M.

A man, aged 52 and a woman, aged 49 have been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.

Both are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, 13 December, 2021. A report has been prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
