Man charged following series of shoplifting thefts in Glenrothes
Police in Glenrothes can confirm that a 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with 18 reports of shoplifting, with a total value of over £800.
The thefts took place at six local shops between October and December 2021.
He is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 21 December.
Sergeant Peter Wordie, from Glenrothes Community Investigation Unit, said; “Shoplifting is not a victimless crime and it has a significant impact for the local businesses in our community.
“This type of crime will not be tolerated and we will act on any reports made to us via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
