Appeal to trace driver of van following Lockerbie crash
Road Policing officers are looking to trace the driver of a small white van which was involved in a crash with a pedestrian in Lockerbie earlier this afternoon.
The incident took place in the High Street area, around 1.10pm on Friday, 17 December. The driver, a woman, stopped at the scene and interacted with the pedestrian, along with witnesses, but left before police arrived.
The pedestrian, an elderly woman, was taken to hospital for treatment.
Constable Steven Broatch said: "We are keen to speak with the woman who was driving the van, who appears to have left the area after believing that witnesses had her details and would pass them to police.
"We are also looking to speak with any further witnesses or anyone with information who has yet to contact police. If you believe you can assist, please call 101, quoting incident 1594 of 17 December."
