Appeal for witnesses after attempted robbery of dog in Alexandria
Officers in Alexandria are appealing for witnesses after the attempted robbery of a dog in the town.
Around 9.05pm on Wednesday 22 December 2021, a woman was walking on the footpath adjacent to Main Street, Jamestown, near to the entrance at Oakburn Walk, when two men approached her, pushed her to the ground and tried to grab the dog’s lead.
The two men are both described as white, wearing all black clothing and had snoods over their faces.
Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell from Clydebank Police Station said: “This has been a frightening incident for the woman involved, who was thankfully not hurt.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or has dash cam footage or CCTV from the time to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3400 of 22 December 2021.”
