Appeal following assault and robbery – Mill Centre, Blackburn, West Lothian
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was assaulted and robbed at a shopping centre in Blackburn, West Lothian.
Between 6.15pm and 6.30pm on Monday, 6 December, a 41-year-old man was walking towards the Ash Terrace exit from the Mill Centre in the town when he was grabbed, pushed against a wall and assaulted by two men who walked off in the direction of the health centre.
He did not require medical treatment and continued on his way home when he discovered that his mobile phone and a three figure sum of cash had been taken from his jacket pocket.
The men are described as white, aged in their late 20s, of medium build and both wearing dark clothing with hoods. One was around 5ft 7ins and the other around 5ft 9ins.
Detective Constable Shona Robertson, of Livingston CID, said: “We are eager to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time of this incident, or saw the men involved either before or afterwards.
