Serious road crash on A759 at Gatehead, Kilmarnock
Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a serious road crash in Kilmarnock on Tuesday 17 August.
Around 2.45pm on Tuesday afternoon, a 38-year-old man was driving a Ford Tipper truck on the A759, near to Moorfield Industrial Estate in Gatehead, Kilmarnock, when he was involved in a collision with a stationary HGV.
The driver of the Ford was taken by Ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
Sergeant Craig Beaver of the Divisional Road Policing Unit in Ayrshire said: “Our enquiries into the cause of this crash are continuing and I would appeal to anyone with information or footage that may assist our investigation to contact 101 quoting reference 1964 of 17 August.”
