Serious Assault - Hurlford
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked and seriously injured in Hurlford, Ayrshire, in the early hours of Monday, 16 August, 2021.
Around 1.35 am, two men, only described as wearing dark clothing, attacked the man in a house on Kerrmuir Avenue in Hurlford, Ayrshire. They then ran off into the street towards Cessnock Avenue.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock where he remains for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as serious. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Detective Constable Ross Brierley, East Ayrshire CID, said:
"Although we believe that this was a targeted attack, a man is in a serious condition in hospital and we have to trace those responsible.
"Kerrmuir Avenue is overseen by a number of houses and I am sure, even though it was early in the morning, that someone will have seen or heard the disturbance or something suspicious.”
