Over £200,000 of class B drugs seized by officers during proactive work in Glasgow
Police Scotland can confirm that over £200,000 worth of class B drugs were seized in Glasgow yesterday (Thursday, 26 August, 2021).
Acting on intelligence, officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property on Abbey Drive. Herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of £114,000 was seized, along with a five-figure sum of cash.
A 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with drug offences and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Friday, 27 August, 2021).
In a second, unconnected incident, officers stopped a man on Craighall Road at around 9.45pm last night and recovered herbal cannabis from his possession. An address on the same street was searched and a further amount of herbal cannabis was seized. In total the drugs found had an estimated street value of £91,000.
A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with this and is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Friday, 27 August, 2021).
