Motorcyclist seriously injured after Ayrshire crash
A 52-year-old man has suffered serious injuries following a road crash involving a motorcycle in Ayrshire.
The incident happened on the A719 near Dunure around 6.40pm on Sunday, 22 August when the Suzuki motorcycle went out of control and left the road.
The man was taken to the University Hospital Ayr for treatment to serious injuries. The man’s family was made aware and the road was subsequently closed for around eight hours to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Kevin Blackley of Ayrshire Road Policing said: “We are appealing for anyone who was on the road around the time of the incident to contact us.
“In particular, anyone with a dash cam device is asked to check any images it may have captured and pass on anything which may be of use to us.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3300 of 22 August, 2021.”
