Appeal following robbery of Ayr shop
Officers in Ayr are appealing for information as part of their investigation into a robbery, which took place yesterday (Sunday, 15 August).
The incident took place around 8.20am, when a man entered a shop in the Prestwick Road area and demanded money. He left the area with a two-figure sum of cash and was last seen heading in the direction of Woodfield Avenue.
The suspect is described as being a white man, around 25-years-old, 5ft 9 with a skinny build. He was hearing a dark hooded top and dark bottoms, with white trainers.
Detective Constable Stuart McCulloch, from Ayr CID, said: “We’re appealing to anyone who was in the Prestwick Road area around 8am yesterday and witnessed anything suspicious to please come forward.
“If you have any information on this robbery, please call police on 101, quoting incident 1191 of 15 August. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
