Appeal following assault outside train station in Helensburgh
Detectives are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted outside the train station in Helensburgh on Saturday, 14 August, 2021.
Around 10.25pm, the 15-year-old boy was outside the station in the town when he was approached by two people and sustained a facial injury. He received treatment at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
Officers would like to speak to two youths, one male, one female, seen in the area at the time. The male was wearing a khaki jumper and black trousers. The female was wearing a black Nike top, with light grey leggings.
Detective Constable Imran Abuzar said: “This attack was completely unprovoked and it’s imperative we trace those responsible. Enquiries so far have revealed there were a number of people in the area, some of whom came to the teenager’s aid.
“Officers are keen to speak to members of the public who can help with enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4315 on 14 August, 2021, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppes on 0800 555 111.”
