Woman named following farm incident, Turriff
Police Scotland can confirm the name of the 21-year-old woman who died following an incident on farmland near Turriff.
She has been named as Caroline Rennie (pictured below) and her family are devastated following their tragic loss and have asked for their privacy to be respected at this very hard time.
They have issued the following statement through Police Scotland:
“We are devastated by the loss of Caroline who was so full of life, full of fun and much loved. She was a great friend to everyone who knew her and will be much missed.”
The incident happened around 3.45pm on Saturday, 3 April, 2021, within a field off the A947 near Turriff and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened in consultation with the Health & Safety Executive.
Detective Inspector John Lumsden said: “Our thoughts are very much with Caroline’s family at what is a very difficult time for all who knew her and officers are supporting her family.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
