Re-appeal for information following hit and run in Bothwell
Officers in Lanarkshire are issuing a further appeal for information following a hit and run involving a child pedestrian in Bothwell.
The 13-year-old boy was struck by what is now believed to have been a grey coloured Vauxhall Corsa around 2.30pm on Monday, 5 April near, to the Co-op on Main Street.
He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.
Sergeant Andy Shearer of the Road Policing Unit Motherwell said: “We are keen to trace the driver of the vehicle involved in this incident as soon as possible.
“Enquires have established that the car involved was a five-door grey Vauxhall Corsa, which would appear to have sustained damage to the front passenger headlamp.
“I am appealing to anyone who might have information dashcam footage or knowledge of a damaged grey Vauxhall Corsa to get in touch as soon as possible.
“To the driver, I am also making a direct appeal, do the right thing and come forward.”
