Man charged in connection with attempted armed robbery, Main Street, Rutherglen

Police can confirm that a man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Rutherglen.

The incident happened at a premises on Main Street in the town around 10.05am on Monday, 26 April.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 29 April, 2021.

Detective Sergeant Craig MacKenzie of Cambuslang CID said: “We would like to thank the public and media for sharing our appeal for information in relation to this incident.”
