Drugs worth around £10.5k recovered under Op Designate in Ayr
On Wednesday 28 April 2021 officers from Ayrshire Division's Proactive Crime Team executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 at a house in Caledonia Road, Ayr.
A quantity of Class A controlled drugs, believed to be cocaine, was recovered with a potential street value of approximately £10,500
A 39-year-old man was charged with drug supply offences and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal. He will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Area Commander at South Ayrshire said:
“Drug dealing remains a high priority for police officers here in South Ayrshire and we have committed resources in recent months to addressing community concerns around this.
"This recovery is the result of police working together with the communities and acting on the information provided to us.
"We will continue to take action against those determined to bring misery to the streets of South Ayrshire who are involved in illicit drug dealing and supply. It will not be tolerated”
