Wilful fireraising - Dunellan Avenue, Moodiesburn

Detectives at Coatbridge are appealing for information after a van was set on fire outside a house in Moodiesburn on Tuesday, 22 September, 2020.

Around 12.30am on Tuesday morning, a Vauxhall Combo van was set on fire outside a house in Dunellan Avenue in Moodiesburn. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and police attended.

Detective Constable Kim Faulds of Coatbridge Police Station said: “Luckily no one was injured as a result of this fire, however it is being treated as wilful and our enquiries are ongoing to establish more information and trace those responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Dunellan Avenue early on Tuesday morning, who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has any information that will assist our investigation. I would appeal to anyone driving in or around this street at the time, who has dash-cam footage, to contact us.”
