Two men arrested following wilful fire raising, Burghead

Police in Elgin were called to a report of a fire at a property on Fraser Road, Burghead, at around 9.55pm on Thursday, 24 September, 2020.

The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.

Two men, aged 24 and 20, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Robbie Williams, of Elgin CID, said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have seen a white car in the area around the time of the incident or who has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police.

“Anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 3726 of 24 September, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
