Man arrested now charged, Johnstone serious assault

A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a serious assault in Johnstone.

The incident happened within a property on MacDowell Street around 1.40pm on Sunday, 13 September.

A 33-year-old man was subsequently taken from the property to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious injuries. His condition is described as critical but stable.

The 36-year-old is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
