Appeal following wilful fire raising in Chapelhall
Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information following a wilful fire raising in Chapelhall.
The incident happened around 1.20am on Friday, 2 October, 2020 when a silver Land Rover Range Rover was deliberately set on fire on Lammermuir Way.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and safely extinguished the fire.
A man was seen running away from the scene in the direction of Lancaster Avenue, he is described as wearing dark clothing with the hood up.
Detective Constable Craig McLean, of Lanarkshire CID, said: “Thankfully there has been no injuries as a result of this reckless act.
“Although this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, I would ask that if anyone has any information that they get in touch with officers.
“I would also appeal to those who have possible dash-cam footage or were driving in the area at the time to contact police.
