Appeal after man assaulted in Maybole
Police in Ayrshire are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a disturbance in Maybole.
The incident happened in a property on Castle Street in the town around 8.35pm on Saturday, 17 October.
Two men forced entry to the property and assaulted a 30-year-old man.
The man was taken to Ayr Hospital for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are appealing for information.
They are particularly keen to identify two men. One is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall and of muscular build.
The second is also white and around 5ft 8in tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jumper and light blue denim jeans.
These men may have run off onto Castle Street following the incident.
Detective Constable Paul McRoberts of Ayr CID, said: "We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
"I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard a disturbance on Castle Street shortly after 8.30pm on Saturday evening to please get in touch.
"Anyone who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV is also asked to pass this on to police.
"Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting incident 3894 of 17 October, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
