Man arrested and charged following wilful fireraising in Greenock
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Greenock.
The incident took place in Union Street on Monday, 13 July, when a house was set alight.
The 24-year-old man was arrested and charged on Thursday, 5 November. He is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Friday, 6 November.
Detective Superintendent Gerry McBride of Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Division said: “This is a significant development in our investigation into recent fire-raisings in the area and a multi-agency effort to find those responsible remains ongoing.
