Car set on fire - Ardrossan

Officers in Ardrossan are appealing for the help of the public following an incident in the town where a car was set on fire on Monday night. Sometime between 7.45pm and 8pm on Monday, 9 November, 2020, a car was set on fire while parked in the driveway of a house in Boydston Road. The vehicle has been damaged and the fire was extinguished by the Fire and Rescue Service. Nobody was injured in the incident.

Detective Sergeant Stephen McCulloch at Saltcoats CID said: “This was an extremely reckless act and the consequences could have been catastrophic had the fire spread. I would ask anyone who may have any information which might help us catch those responsible to call us on 101, quoting the reference number 3438 of 9 November 2020."
