Appeal for information after two cars were set on fire in Glasgow Road, Kilsyth
Detectives are continuing their enquiries and appealing for information after two cars were set on fire in Kilsyth on Sunday, 1 November, 2020.
Around 1am on Sunday, 1 November, Police were called to a report of a Mistubishi car and a Hyundai car both on fire outside a house on Glasgow Road, Kilsyth. The fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and detectives are treating the incident as wilful.
Detective Constable Susan Fairlie of Coatbridge Police Office said: “Luckily no one was injured as a result of this crime, however we are carrying out enquiries in the area and gathering CCTV footage to gain more information on who is responsible for setting this fire.
“At this time, I would ask anyone who was in the area of Glasgow Road in Kilsyth between midnight and 1am on Sunday morning, who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has any information that might assist our investigation to contact Coatbridge Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 0306 of 1 November. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
