Second man charged, Ardrossan death

A second man has now been charged in connection with the death of a 42-year-old man in Ardrossan, Ayrshire.

Officers were called to a house in Nithsdale Road around 4.50pm on Sunday, 24 May, 2020, following a report of a firearm being discharged.

Paul Cairns, 42, was found with serious injuries and died a short time later.

A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with his death and was scheduled to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court yesterday (Tuesday 26 May).

A second man, aged 50, has also been arrested and charged in connection with his death. He is scheduled to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrow (Thursday 28 May).
