Man named following fatal motorbike crash, near Edderton, Tain

A man who died when his motorbike came off the road on the A836 near Tain on Friday, 6 March, has been named.
He was Lionel Beresford, aged 62, from Ardgay.
The incident happened around 3.05pm and officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the orange Honda motorbike which was being driven from Ardgay towards Edderton.
Sergeant David Miller, of Highlands and Islands Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Beresford’s family at this sad time and they have asked that the media respect their privacy.
“We would urge anyone who may have dash-cam footage showing the motorbike travelling between Ardgay and Edderton, or saw anything that may assist our enquiries to get in touch.
