Appeal following serious assault in East Kilbride

Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information following a serious assault in East Kilbride.
The incident happened around 2.10am on Sunday, 21 June, 2020 when a 37-year-old man was walking along Cedar Drive with his family when a man struck him over the head with a glass bottle. The suspect then ran towards Greenhills Sports Centre.
The suspect is described as 5ft 11ins tall, early 20s, sallow skin and of medium build. He was wearing a black top with the hood up.
Detective Constable Gareth Laird, of Lanarkshire CID, said:
“We are appealing for anyone with any information which may help with our enquiries and who has not already spoken to us to get in touch.
“We would also like to hear from anyone with dash cam footage who was in the area at the time or who may have seen the victim or the suspect prior to or after the incident to contact us.”
