Police name young boy who died in Drumchapel

Officers in Glasgow can confirm the identity of a young boy who died after becoming seriously injured at a works site in Drumchapel.

Shea John Ryan (10) suffered fatal injuries following the incident which happened around 9.55pm on Thursday, 16 July, in the Glenkirk Drive area.

Detective Constable Edwina Perry of Shettleston CID said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Shea at this incredibly difficult time.

“Enquiries to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death, which is not being treated as suspicious, remain ongoing.
