Appeal for witnesses following serious road crash in Whitburn

Police in West Lothian are appealing for information following a serious road crash in Whitburn.
The incident happened around 1.20pm on Friday, 17 July, 2020 on the B7066 Polkemmet Road, Whitburn, involving a black Subaru Impreza and an Audi Q2.
As a result of the collision, a 59-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries. Two men, both aged 31, were also taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment and were later discharged.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow a full scene investigation to take place.
Sergeant Stephen Quinn, of Lothians Road Policing, said: “This was a serious collision and we are looking for anybody who was driving on the road or witnessed the incident to contact police.
“In particular, if there were any vehicles in the area at the time that may have dashcam footage that could help officers, or anyone in the area with CCTV footage, I would ask that you get in touch.”
