Appeal following serious road crash on A985

Police in Fife are appealing for information following a serious road crash on the A985.
The incident happened around 5.35am on Friday, 31 July, 2020 on the A985 between Cairneyhill roundabout and Kincardine, in which a car left road and struck a wall.
As a result of the crash, a 61-year-old man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow a full scene investigation to take place.
Sergeant Alastair Purvis, of Fife Road Policing, said: “This was a serious collision and we are looking for anybody who was driving on the road or witnessed the incident to contact police.
“In particular, if there were any vehicles in the area at the time that may have dashcam footage that could help officers, I would ask that you get in touch.”
