Appeal after man injured in Ayr

Police in Ayr are appealing for information following a report of an assault, which is believed to have happened on Saturday, 4 July.
The incident is believed to have happened in the Seaforth Road area at around 8pm.
A 71-year-old man sustained serious injuries as a result. He is described as being slim build with short grey shaved hair, tanned complexion, and was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.
Detective Constable Lana Grant, from Ayr CID, said: “Our enquiries into this report are very much ongoing and we are trying to establish the full circumstances.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw an assault take place or saw the man walking injured between Seaforth Road and Seaforth Crescent to please come forward.”
