Appeal following assault on Stewart Street, Dalmuir

Police in Clydebank are appealing for information following an assault in the Dalmuir area.
The incident happened around 12.50am on Sunday, 19 January, 2020, on Stewart Street outside of a pub.
A 48-year-old man and his 27-year-old daughter were involved in a verbal argument with a man who then assaulted them both, punching the man once and the woman twice.
The man suffered a minor injury to his nose. The woman sustained a serious facial injury and received treatment at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Following the incident the suspect ran-off up Stewart Street in the direction of Dalmuir train station and at the time is described as being dressed in all dark clothing.
Detective Constable Iain Allison of Clydebank CID said: “Enquires are ongoing and we are working to establish the circumstances leading up to this assault.
“There would have been a number of people in the area around the time of the incident and we are keen to talk to anyone who might have seen anything.”
