Appeal after man robbed in Ayr

Detectives are appealing for information from the public after a man was robbed in Ayr yesterday.
The incident happened around 3.15pm on Friday, 17 January, on the River Ayr walk near to Station Road.
A 39-year-old man was cycling his bike when he was stopped by two men, assaulted and robbed of money and other personal items.
Both suspects then made off on foot in the direction of Station Road.
The first suspect is described as being 6ft tall and in his late 20s. He was wearing a grey Nike hooded top.
The second suspect, also thought to be in his late 20s is described as 5ft 8ins and was wearing a black tracksuit with red stripes down the sleeves and legs.
Detective Constable Stuart McCulloch, Ayr CID, said: “This was a very distressing experience for the victim who has been left clearly shaken and distressed after the incident.
“It is imperative that we trace the men responsible for this attack as soon as possible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at that time and who saw anything suspicious to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 2744 of Friday, 17 January.
“Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
