Second man charged in connection with wilful fireraising on Cumberland Road

Police in Greenock have arrested and charged a 22-year-old man following a wilful fireraising at a property on Cumberland Road.

The incident happened on Saturday, 19 September and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Superintendent Gerry McBride said: “This is the second arrest and charge in connection with the incident at Cumberland Road in November and another significant development in our investigations into recent firerasing’s in the area.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone with information to contact police.”
