Man seriously assaulted in Melbourne Avenue, East Kilbride
Detectives at Lanarkshire are appealing for information after a 27 year-old man was seriously assaulted in East Kilbride on Sunday, 6 December 2020.
Around 7.15pm on Sunday evening, the 27 year-old man was on Melbourne Avenue, East Kilbride when he was seriously assaulted by a man who may have been with a woman and they both then made off in a black SUV-type vehicle.
Police and Ambulance attended. The injured man was taken by ambulance to Hairmyres Hospital where he is being treated for head and leg injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.
Detective Constable Stuart Burnside of Cambuslang Police Office said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident to establish the exact circumstances and officers have been carrying out enquiries and studying CCTV footage from in and around the local area to gather more information
This is a quiet residential area, and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone who seen this man and woman in the area to contact us.
