Appeal for information following wilful fire-raising in Altyre Street, Glasgow
Detectives are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in the Tollcross area of Glasgow on Tuesday, 29 December, 2020.
Police were called to the incident outside a flat in Altyre Street around 5.30pm.
Emergency services attended and the car was found to be extensively damaged.
Detective Sergeant Chris Lafferty from Shettleston CID said: “Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances surrounding this reckless incident and I am appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“If you were in the area of Altyre Street around 5.30pm on Tuesday evening, and noticed anything at all suspicious, please get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone living locally with private CCTV, or motorists with dash-cams who were nearby, to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 2538 of Tuesday, 29 December. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
