Appeal for information after attempted break-in to shop in Duke Street, Glasgow
Police Scotland is appealing for information after an attempted break-in to a shop at in Glasgow.
The incident happened at around 11pm on Wednesday, 16 December in Duke Street.
Detective Constable Paul Fraser of Shettleston CID said :
“We are carrying out an investigation after a car deliberately drove at a shop window in Duke Street last night. Two men were seen to get out of the car and attempt to get into the shop. We believe they left empty handed. They are described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
“A car was later set on fire in Grierson Street and enquiries are underway to establish if this vehicle was linked to the incident at the shop in Duke Street.
“Officers are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries in effort to identify who was responsible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 3671 of 16 December.
