Appeal for information after an attempted robbery at McColls in Glasgow Road, Dumbarton
Police Scotland is appealing for information after a man attempted to rob a shop in Dumbarton.
The incident took place at McColls in Glasgow Road at around 4.15pm on Sunday, 13 December.
Detective Sergeant Ian Evans of CID, Clydebank Police Station said :
“A man described as being 5’ 8” tall, of stocky build, entered the shop and threatened staff. They were unhurt during the incident, but shocked.
“He was wearing dark trousers and dark jacket with his face covered.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 2207 of Sunday 13 December.
