Serious road crash at Pirnhall roundabout near Stirling Services
Road Policing Officers are appealing for information on a serious road crash involving a motorbike in Stirling on Sunday, 30 August, 2020.
Around 4.45pm on Sunday afternoon, a 57 year-old woman was riding her Yamaha Virago motorbike on Pirnhall Stirling Services roundabout when it appears that the vehicle lost control and left the roadway near the junction for A872.
Emergency services attended and the injured woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she is being treated for her serious injuries. Hospital staff describe her condition as critical.
Sergeant David Marr from the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Stirling said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of this crash and I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
“This is a very busy roundabout next to the local motorway services, and I am urging any witnesses or anyone who was driving there around the time of the crash who has dash-cam footage to contact us.”
