Man charged in connection with firearms offences, Renfrewshire
Police Scotland can confirm a 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with alleged firearms offences in Renfrewshire.
As part of an ongoing, intelligence-led operation, officers searched a property in Douglas Crescent, Erskine, on Saturday, 22 August, 2020, and recovered a number of firearms and ammunition.
The 55-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 24 August, in connection with the recovery.
Detective Inspector Martin McGhee, of Police Scotland's Specialist Crime Division, said: "We have recovered a number of firearms and ammunition following an intelligence-led operation. I would urge anyone who has information about the criminal use of firearms to contact Police Scotland on 101. Your information will be treated with the utmost confidence.
