Drug and cash seizures - Paisley and A74(M)
Police Scotland report that around 5.15pm on Tuesday, 18 August, 2020, a 23-year-old man was stopped by officers while driving a car in Dee Drive in Paisley. Following a search of the car, and later his home in Clydebank, 22 kilograms of cocaine and a Taser were recovered. The drugs have an estimated value of £880,000. The man will be appearing at Paisley Sheriff Court on 19 August 2020.
In a second and totally separate incident, around 8pm that same evening, a man was stopped by officers on the southbound carriageway of the A74(M) near to Eaglesfield, Dumfries and Galloway. Following a search of the car a quantity of cash totalling almost £75,000 was found and seized. A 28-year-old man was arrested and will be appearing at Dumfries Sheriff Court on 19 August 2020.
