Appeal following serious crash on the B7045, South Ayrshire
Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle crash in South Ayrshire.
The incident happened around 5.40pm on Sunday, 16 August, 2020, on the B7045, near to Cassillis Gate Bridge, Minishant, South Ayrshire.
A Yamaha MT-07 motor cycle was travelling north on the B7045 when it collided with an Audi Q2 travelling south.
As a result of the collision, the 59-year-old male driver of the motor cycle was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital with serious injuries.
The male driver and two male passengers of the car were not injured.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow for crash investigation and recovery of the vehicles.
Ian Thornton, of the Road Policing Unit based at Irvine, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have seen either vehicle in the area shortly before the collision to get in touch.
“We are also appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who has dashcam footage or any other information which may assist to get in touch.”
