Appeal following serious crash on A9, South of Aviemore
Police are appealing for information following a serious road crash on the A9 south of Aviemore.
The collision happened around 3.55pm on Sunday, 16 August, and involved a black Volkswagen Transporter, a black Citroen DS3 and a blue Ford Fiesta near the junction for the B9152 on the A9.
Emergency services attended the scene and two people, a 96-year-old man and a 94-year-old woman, the driver and passenger of the Ford Fiesta were taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
The occupants of the black VW Transporter and the black Citroen DS3 were uninjured.
The road is currently closed to allow for investigation to be carried out.
Sergeant Alisdair MackKay of Dingwall police station said: “Enquiries into this crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, who has not already spoken to police to contact us.
“We are also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident who may have seen any of the vehicles prior to the crash and has dashcam footage to please check and come forward with anything which may be relevant.”
