Appeal following serious assault in Johnstone
Officers in Renfrew are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted on Church Street, Johnstone.
The incident took place around 9.15pm on Friday, 31 July, 2020, when two males attacked a 26-year-old man.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to a serious injury.
One of the group is described as being in his late teens, early 20’s, with dark hair and wearing a grey tracksuit, the other male is described as wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black t shirt.
Detective Constable Liam Rodgers, of Paisley Mill Street said: “The victim has been left with an injury which will cause permanent scarring.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and who saw anything suspicious or saw a group of young men around that time to come forward.”
