Attempted murder in Darnley, Glasgow

Detectives are appealing for information after a 35 year-old man was seriously assaulted in Darnley, Glasgow on Saturday, 18 April, 2020.
p>Around 11.25pm on Saturday, 18 April, police were called to a report of a man found lying seriously injured in Glen Esk Drive, Darnley after being attacked by three men. p>Police attended and the injured 35 year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for severe injuries to his arms and a head injury. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious. p>A 35 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.p> Detective Sergeant Nick Gribben of Helen Street Police Station said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding this attempted murder, and trace whoever is responsible. House to house enquires are ongoing and we are checking CCTV from in and around the local area to gather more information for our investigation.p> “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this attack take place, or anyone who was driving in the area of Glen Esk Drive late on Saturday night who has dash-cam footage, as they may have information that will assist our inquiry. p>“Anyone with information on this attack should contact detectives at Helen Street Police Office though 101 quoting reference number 4699 of 18th April.
